J. Brent Dowis, D.Min.

Pastor Brent Dowis ("PB") is a native South Carolinian and attended District 6 schools in Spartanburg County. He became a "Jesus follower" at the age of 18 and received the call to vocational ministry at age 20.  Brent has been married to Cindy Correll Dowis for 35+ years.  The couple has 4 adult childrena and 5 granchildren.

Pastor Brent studied for ministry at The Baptist College of Florida (Th.B.), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminsary (M.Div), and Covington Theological Seminary (D.Min.).  With more than 28 years of ministry experience, Brent remains passionate about loving on people and presenting biblical truth in relevant ways.  Brent has served First Baptist of Enoree since January 2025.
